F-ONE Strike CWC

F-ONE brings another breakthrough design with the STRIKE CWC, offering unique sensations in light wind conditions.
Nearly two years after the release of the first wing, they have found the ultimate way to give the wing more surface area without compromising lightness and performance. The new patented Compact Wing Concept allows for more surface area with the same wingspan. F-ONE has added 2 struts to the existing one, offering the most compact shape on the market for the larger sizes.

The first 3-trusts Wing is not just a Wing with 2 additional struts. It was a difficult process to control the twist of the 2 struts and thus the power and performance of this new Wing. The high performance design that F-ONE had in the rest of the STRIKE line and the incredible control of the cloth tension were a necessary basis to start such an ambitious design program.

The 2 additional struts increase the surface area of the wing without increasing the length and diameter of the leading edge. Once F-ONE was able to fit a 6-m wing into a short 5-m leading edge, they were able to build a 7-m and 8-m wing using the same concept.

Controlling the length of the leading edge provides more stiffness in the canopy and the trailing edge is fully controlled, which increases performance.

Since contact with the water while sailing is one of the biggest issues, F-ONE also worked on the profile of the canopy ends. They naturally stay away from the water surface. If they do hit the water, they glide over it and don't stop you like they would otherwise. So you can ride with your hands at normal height, not with your arms above your head.

This new geometry adds a lot of power with easy handling, giving you a super light feel with a smaller wingspan. The glider is more maneuverable and easier to turn around on the water. Inflation is super easy and gets you planing in no time because the wingtips don't touch the water when you flex your arms. This unique compactness makes for a very comfortable ride with big wings.
