Winging is there to stay! Winging is a sport that you can easily do anywhere.
On a skateboard in parking lots that have been emptied by the pandemic. On a snowboard, landboard or grassboard on the meadow at the entrance to the village or on the dyke. With a snowboard on snow-covered hills or on the mountain. With a SUP or even an old windsurf board on a windless lake (where you were never able to launch your kite due to lack of space) or with a hydrofoil on the lakes in your area and on the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

Simple cruising on the flat water right outside your door is suddenly really fun because you are learning a completely new sport (but one that has a lot in common with kitesurfing). When you get fitter, you can really push yourself with the wing in the waves - or start practicing jumping.
But which direction YOU want to develop in is up to you.
WASP V3...THE REALLY FRESH AND EXCITING WAY TO BE POWERED PURELY BY THE ELEMENTS. THE HUGE FUN FOR A HUGE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
Following on from the hugely successful WASP V1, the second generation has been revised in all areas and now offers even more power, improved control and more comfort. The WASP V2 wing is light, quick and easy to set up, easy to handle and offers incredible performance in all situations - whether for a relaxed freeride session after work, a legendary wave session, an unforgettable downwinder, tickling out new jumps or simply learning this exciting new way of being "inspired" by the wind - with the WASP V2, man and sports equipment become one!
Ozone's innovative construction of the front tube and strut lead to an enormous stiffness, allowing them to generate a solid, direct and ideally balanced feel. This stiffness helps you to accelerate and glide better even at low speeds. The front tube seam has been repositioned to reduce drag and prevent wear in crashes.
The sail surface has been modified and the shape of the wingtips optimized to reduce interference from water or ground. Protective pads have been integrated for use on snow or land, although it is of course always best to keep the wing off the ground at all times! Large viewing windows on both sides of the strut offer you and others around you a better overview and safety.
The position of the grab handles has been optimized and Ozone has been able to make the shape more ergonomic for more comfort and control. The forward-most depower handle right at the leading edge allows you to eliminate any power from the wing to be fully focused when you are carving freely and carving along a wave, for example.
The Ozone WASP V2 Wing is suitable for any type of board on the water that has enough volume to support your body weight. In strong winds and with correspondingly advanced skills, a foil board, for example, can also be used with less volume. On land or snow, even minimal wind is enough to feel the energy provided by nature in various forms of propulsion. It improves the durability, wear resistance and longevity of your wing.
To make deflation and packing up easy, the Ozone WASP V2 is equipped with a valve designed for high flow rates, which is used on both the front tube and strut.
Ozone has designed a modular leash system that can be adapted to the needs of the rider. The WASP V2 is supplied as standard with a leash that is attached to the hips. Leash accessories, which are available separately, include a Velcro strap for wrist attachment or a release system for the included waist strap, or for attaching the leash to a harness.
For riders traveling with a harness, Ozone has added loops right next to the grab handles on the strut for quick and easy installation of the WASP V2 harness leash - a thin and lightweight design with an internal elastic feature so you instantly gain space and freedom of movement when unhooking. So combine the WASP V2 directly with our new Connect Wing harness for the ultimate setup. NOTE: To use the WASP V2 together with Ozone's Connect Wing harness, the specially designed and optionally available harness line is required. What's new about the WASP V3?
Ozone's R&D team has done its job thoroughly: the three-person development team took over a year and a half to revise the WASP V2. The new wing is really well thought out in every detail.
Ozone was able to significantly improve some aspects of the V1 - or even learn from the mistakes of other brands.
- Viewing window: A viewing window on each side of the strut provides an overview and safety on the water. The (incidentally "crease-free") windows have been positioned in such a way that hardly any performance is lost.
- Ergonomic handles: Several loops have been positioned on the leading edge and on the strut to cover many grip options and offer maximum control and comfort when riding.
- Reinforced trailing edge: A double layered reinforcement on the trailing edge, with light internal Dyneema reinforcement. This reduces wear on the sailcloth and helps to maintain optimum tension on the trailing edge as intended.
- Fast Flow Valve: To simplify deflation and packing, the WASP V2 is equipped with a new Fast Flow Valve on both the leading edge and the strutblader.
- Strut Rib: This piece of cloth between strut and sailcloth leads to improved stiffness of the wing and therefore generally greater stability when riding. This allows for a lower profile without sacrificing stiffness.
