Slide Surfskates brings the spirit of surfing directly to the city.
Slide Surfskate is the passion of Taiwanese entrepreneur June Liu. Together with young surf skaters, June took a closer look at the Spring loaded multi-directional trucks and came up with his own construction design, which has served as the basis for today's much more advanced slide trucks.
Test drivers, engineers, researchers develop the best procedures for the casting of the axles and the high-quality processing. With the current slide boards, Sancheski SL is very focused on the distribution of surfskate innovation. They are all about best quality for big waves with fun & function.

Buying guide: How to choose the right slide sufskate board?
It's not easy to choose the right model. Decisive criteria are your weight, your size, your surfing level and the desired area of use. For this reason we have written the definitive guide for choosing your slide surfskate:
Weight and size
The importance of these two values is relative. Tall people tend to have large feet and have more difficulty maintaining balance than shorter people due to their high body center of gravity. That's why we recommend the longer slide models for very tall or very heavy riders. The wheels are also important. The 70mm rollers have a larger surface area that touches the ground and that makes them more stable.
On the other hand, it might be more fun for smaller surfskaters to ride a smaller board. The shorter slide shapes tend to be more responsive, but care is always taken to ensure that the nose is wide enough to maintain stability.
Weight is actually less crucial than size, but heavy riders are usually big too, so.... better choose a longer model!
Surf/Skate Level
People who used to do any kind of board sports will probably find it easier to ride a surf skate. You don't have to be a pro, but in most cases riders who are used to gliding sports (surfing, skating, snowboarding, longboarding, etc.) will find it easier to ride.
But don't panic! If you are a beginner, we recommend our models with 70 mm tires and a wide nose shape (Gussie 31" or Swallow 33").
Where do you want to use your slide board?
The area of use is actually the decisive criterion for the choice of your slide surfskate.
Do you want to practice surf turns in the bowl? Do you want to use the slide surfboard simply as a cool means of transportation? Or maybe both? If you're looking for something to practice radical surf turns in the bowl or skatepark, it's important to choose one of the shorter models (31" or shorter), as you can more easily make sharp turns with these boards.
For more experienced skaters, we recommend the models with 65 mm wheels (Fish Marrajo 32" or Swallow Grom 30").
On the other hand, riders or drivers looking for a cruiser or longboard experience will enjoy comfortable, smooth shapes with large wheels (Gussie 31", Diamond 32", Swallow 33", Neme Pro 35"). That doesn't mean a Gussie won't work in a bowl or a Fish can't be used for cruising.
The Slide Surfskate boards are designed with a wide nose to ride very stable in all conditions. In addition, the size of the rollers is generally quite large and the hardness is low, making them very polyvalent for any type of use.
What does sliding actually mean?
SLIDING: GLIDING DOWN THE SLOPES NICE AND SMOOTHLY
In order to make sliding possible, a certain speed is necessary. For this reason, sliders feel most comfortable on sloping asphalt tracks. However, the corresponding longboards must also have a few special characteristics to enable the perfect slides.
SLIDING REQUIREMENT #1: YOU DEFINITELY NEED SOME LONGBOARD EXPERIENCE FIRST.
The combination of speed and riding technique requires a lot of skill and also a bit of courage. Only those who have their board completely under control will be able to slide. But once you get the hang of it, you can look forward to the highest level of riding fun. Sliding basically means gliding down the slopes smoothly and looking damn cool while doing it. By riding cross-country, you can control your speed. Downhill riders, for example, slide in turns to slow down a bit without coming to an immediate stop.
There are different ways to slide:
- Heelside > Your face is facing the direction of travel
- Toeside > your face looks backwards.
- 180° Colemanslide > the beginner method you will probably learn first.
THE PERFECT SLIDE LONGBOARD
It goes without saying that to become a really good slider, you also need a really good longboard. It should have several features to help you in your endeavor. The following things are important:
The wheels are of crucial importance when sliding. In order for you to lose grip as quickly as possible, your wheels should be very hard. In addition, rounded edges are a must, because that's the only way you can really "slide away" in the turns.
A concave deck bend ensures that you can exert better pressure on the axles. The board can be steered and controlled better this way.
When it comes to length , opinions differ. Short longboards are of course more agile and can also be used for sliding. The advantage of long decks is that they allow more controlled slides. This can be especially advantageous if you are just learning to slide.
As far as the center distance is concerned, every slider has different preferences. In general, boards with a wide center distance are more difficult to slide. But the slides are more controlled and safer. So in the end it depends on your personal preferences and experience.
THE FEATURES OF A SLIDE-LONGBOARD AT A GLANCE
- Hard wheels (min. 84 a) with rounded edges
- Concave
- Recesses on the wheels
- Variable axle distance (depending on your needs and preferences)
Because you can't avoid leaning low when sliding, gloves and helmet are very important in addition to the longboard itself. Falls are not uncommon, so you need to take your protection very seriously. Sliding is the perfect technique to take the speed out of your board on a downhill. Plus, it looks impressive and just plain cool when you manage a smooth slide. However, to make it happen, you can't do without a good slide board and a few practice sessions.
