The stiffness of a TRAMPA™ deck is measured in "Ply". Ply refers to how many layers of TRAMPA™ material, made based on a secret formula, are used to create the deck. The more layers added, the stiffer and heavier the deck will be. The "ply" or stiffness ratings range from 11 to 15 ply for the short decks & 15 - 17 ply for the long TRAMPA decks. There is a perfect TRAMPA™ deck for everyone!
TRAMPA™ decks are compatible with other attachments. A TRAMPA™ deck can be drilled to use any known truck or binding system. This makes a TRAMPA™ deck the perfect choice when an upgrade is needed for your existing wood deck with no response or broken laminate setups. TRAMPA™ decks have proven to be completely indestructible! In 14 years of excessive testing, not one TRAMPA deck has ever broken!
The original 15° skate style TRAMPA™ deck was the first board in the TRAMPABOARDS collection. It was developed based on the design of the Scrub Lyon Canyon. The goal was to improve the performance of a very inexpensive wood-based skate deck - with correspondingly poor response. The original 15° TRAMPA™ deck achieved this goal so incredibly well that it remains the undisputed bestseller of the TRAMPABOARDS series to this day. The 15° deck is suitable as an upgrade or replacement for a damaged or underperforming deck, and is compatible with all skate-style axle systems regardless of manufacturer, as long as the axles are suitable for a 15° angle. For example, MBS, Schrub, Kheo or Munro axles will fit here.
TRAMPA™ decks are made from recycled glass and a special plastic thermal compound material. This high-tech material was originally developed for light military applications. Its special feature is its extreme strength in relation to weight, while at the same time the material remains flexible - unlike carbon fiber, for example. It is able to withstand tremendous impacts and at the same time has a flex like no other material. TRAMPABOARDS have developed an elaborate production process to turn the raw material into perfect mountain board decks with customized flex, individual sizes and a high quality surface.
