However, the difference between skateboard and longboard is quickly explained: the latter is a bit longer and narrower than a skateboard. The same applies to children's longboards, which differ from conventional longboards in the following respects:
- They are smaller / shorter.
- They are lighter.
- They have a smaller axle spacing.
- They are more flexible.
- Some models also have designs tailored to children.
In general, the so-called Mini longboards are the right choice for children. They have all the features that a children's longboard should have and can also be ridden by adults. Another advantage of these models: they are quite inexpensive compared to large boards. So if the little ones should lose interest in longboarding at some point, at least the financial loss is bearable.
Longboarding is the perfect way to satisfy children's natural urge to move. The youngsters learn to coordinate their arms and legs in a playful way and do something for their health.
