Accessories, gadgets - call it what you like. Everything you need in addition to the standard equipment for your longboard and your upcoming tours can be found in our LongboardShop.
A longboard doesn't just consist of a deck, trucks and wheels. Many other little things, which you often don't even see at first glance, ensure that the whole thing works, holds together and is even better, faster or safer.
Regardless of whether you want to pimp your longboard or regularly replace wearing parts, our accessories offer everything you need.
Perfectly equipped - from the nose to the tail
Bushings
Bushings are small attachments that can influence the way your trucks ride. The different models are not only colorful and therefore real eye-catchers, but also differ in their shape and degree of hardness. The little gadgets also help you to ideally adjust the trucks to your weight. Professionals generally differentiate between three groups of bushings:
- Conical bush ings - make steering easier
- Flat bushings - make the longboard more sluggish
- Chubby bush ings - block the wheel lock from a certain point onwards
Griptape
Griptape is not only important to give your feet the necessary grip on the longboard, but is also a great accessory that enhances the look of your board. In our store you will find a small selection of unusual griptapes that pimp the often plain tops of longboards. The tapes can be purchased depending on the desired length of the board and applied to your board at home without any tools. It really is child's play!
Ball bearing
The ball bearing is an important component of the wheels and as such is indispensable for a longboard. Most ball bearings are designed for an axle pin with a diameter of 8 mm. 10 mm is the exception rather than the rule. Always remember: you need two ball bearings per wheel. That makes a total of eight per longboard. In addition to the bearings, you will also find various cleaners in our longboard store that you can use to ensure that your bearings have a long life.
Noseguards
Longboards are collector's items. So it's no wonder that it's important to many people to protect their board as well as possible. With special rubber lips, which you can find in our store under "Noseguards", you can protect both the nose and tail of your longboard from scratches. An included cutter knife ensures that the rubber lips can be cut to the exact length required. The guards are very inconspicuous and do not spoil the look of your longboard.
Riser pads
If the wheel and deck come too close together, wheelbites can unfortunately occur very quickly. Riser pads are available to minimize these sometimes dangerous stutters while riding. These are usually made of plastic or rubber and increase the distance between your deck and the wheels. These useful accessories, which you need to attach to your trucks, also absorb shocks and thus ensure an even smoother ride. When choosing your riser pads, make sure that you don't build your longboard too high, as this will make pushing much more difficult.
Screws
Logical: If you assemble your longboard yourself, you also need the necessary accessories to connect all the parts together. That's why we also offer you a range of different screws in various lengths and designs. To determine the right length of screws, you need to add up the following values:
- The thickness of the deck
- The thickness of the riser pad
- The thickness of the base plate
- The height of the nut
In some sets, you will also find nuts, washers and the appropriate tools for screwing. If that doesn't make your handyman's heart beat faster, then we don't know what will.
Spacer
Another practical gadget that you will find in our store and that is almost indispensable for every true longboarder are the so-called spacers. These are small bushings that you fit between the ball bearings in your wheels. This tightens the axle nut without tilting your bearings. The result is wheels that turn much better and therefore pick up more speed. You can choose between metal and rubber spacers.
Multitools
Indispensable for every longboard tour: practical tools with which you can quickly fix a small breakdown or quickly tighten your screws. Special multitools have all the functions you need to work on your longboard - from a cross wrench to an Allen key to a hexagon that fits into the KingPin, the axle nut and the nuts on the deck. These little helpers are simply indispensable and fit into any backpack or the inside pocket of your jacket.
It's often the little things that make something really good. This motto also applies to longboards. The accessories have a big impact - even though they don't cost much.
