The WASP V3 is a great and powerful all-round wing that feels at home in any discipline. It is lightweight, simple to set up, easy to handle and comes with improvements to the power handles, depower surf handle, window, strap for the hip leash, sail material and an updated size range. Whether freeride cruising, surfing, fat air tricks, downwind touring or just getting into the sport, the WASP V3 is ready when you are.
Ozone's innovative front tube and strut construction provides a stable frame with minimal flex, resulting in a solid, direct and well-balanced feel. This stability also helps generate power, especially at low speeds, to get into glide sooner. The new overlapping flat seams improve sail control and result in a cleaner sail surface.
New ergonomic power handles on the leading edge and strut are now stiffer to give you more control and comfort. The depower/surf handle, located at the very front of the front tube, has been redesigned to increase control when holding the wing in one hand only. It now also has extra finger padding for more comfort. High flow valves on both the front tube and strut make inflation and packing up a breeze.
The sail area and the shape of the wingtips reduce interference contours with the ground and water. Protective pads have been integrated for riding on snow or land. Nevertheless, it is of course always advisable to keep the wing away from the ground or other interfering objects at all times! Enlarged windows on both sides keep you and others safe.
The WASP V3 is suitable for any type of board on the water that has enough volume to carry your body weight including clothing. A smaller hydrofoil board can also be used in high winds and with the appropriate skills. On land or snow, only a minimal amount of wind is needed to capture the natural energy and enjoy a different, new feeling of propulsion.
The WASP V3 is made with Ozone's new triple rip-stop material combination. The new triple rip-stop sail material has an advanced coating that increases stability, stiffness and durability and improves the feedback transmitted to the rider, giving a more direct feel of the wing.
The new technical Rip-Stop Dacron is super tough and is used on the front tube and struts. It improves strength, durability and longevity.
For the V3, Ozone has updated the bag and added a second adjustable shoulder strap with shoulder pad for more comfortable carrying of a board with foil.
For riders who ride with a harness, woven loops are attached right next to the power handles for quick and easy attachment of the WASP V3 harness line - a thin and lightly constructed bungee line that is pulled together when unhooked so it stays out of the way. Combined with the new Connect Wing harness, it makes the ultimate setup. Note: To use the WASP V3 with the Connect Wing harness, Ozone's specially developed WASP V2/V3 harness line (available as an option) is required.
Ozone's modular leash system can be customized to suit rider preferences. The WASP V3 is supplied as standard with a waist belt attached to the leash line. The improved hip belt is now equipped with an additional Velcro fastener that runs over the buckle to reduce the stress on the buckle under high loads. Accessories for the leash system (optionally available) are a wrist strap with Velcro fastener or a release system for use with the hip belt supplied or when attaching the leash line to a harness.
The WASP V3 features a new triple ripstop material combination. The new overlap flat seam construction improves sail control and results in an overall cleaner canopy.
Easy view windows on both sides of the cross chute provide safety for you and others nearby.
Ozone's Direct-Connect construction improves load distribution between leading edge, struts and canopy. Struts are connected directly to the Leading Edge with internal and external reinforcements. This unique construction method ensures that clean profiles are maintained with the optimum canopy tension.
