Designed to last, with an exceptional strength to weight ratio and our unique GeoLock system for a clean, direct feel with minimal drag on the water. The AF72 mast is ideal for shallower waters and prone surf foiling. The AF85 mast increases overall performance in choppy conditions.

Features:

• Sonar AF72 or AF85 m ast: The new, refined aluminum foil profile offers the best balance between light weight and increased strength for higher loads. The AF72 mast is 30 % stiffer than the AK mast, but only 13 % heavier. It is ideal for shallower waters and for surf foiling. The AF85 mast is suitable for all disciplines and offers more ride height for overcoming waves or heeling for tighter turns. It is also more forgiving in rougher conditions.
• GeoLock load bearing connection: North's unique GeoLock locking system with tapered geometry is built to last and provides a more effective load-bearing connection between the mast and hull, making them feel like one piece. The bolts engage with the GeoLock, while load transfer now occurs across the entire cross-section of the mast profile, allowing for more efficient load distribution and longer joint life.
• Easy interception of surface damage: In perfect harmony with each front wing, North's dihedral-shaped carbon preg tail stabilizer provides control and ride comfort, allowing for quick turns and easy interception of surface damage. The positioning of the stabilizer on the top of the fuselage allows for a clean, undisturbed airflow. Pushing through the surface with the stabilizer is not a problem as the front wing sits lower in the water and is still fully submerged, giving you extra time to react and adjust your ride height.
• Sonar Foil board adapter: New board adapter for the AF72 and AF85 masts. FE analysis allows North to optimize the structure, increase strength in the most stressed areas and reduce unnecessary weight in the less stressed areas. A strong geometry locking connection provides better energy transfer and a more direct feel.   (Not compatible with AK Mast Series)
• Industry standard bolt pattern 165x90mm: The Sonar Foil System can be fitted to any foil board with a 165x90mm bolt pattern. Foil board and foil board mounting screws are sold separately.
• Hull 600mm: CNC-machined, anodized hull made from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum. Hydrodynamically optimized shape for minimum drag.
• Modular Profile System: Customize your ride with our fully interchangeable foil parts to explore different disciplines and riding styles with just one setup.
