Tommii Lim Proteus
International painter, designer and muralist Tommii Lim engages with the zeitgeist of today's digital age by creating large-scale works that deconstruct observation and form, seducing them into high-contrast, minimalist black and white compositions. Lim seeks to disrupt the viewer's line of sight by building bold, immersive installations and murals using his Optical Sculpture techniques. He uses methods of forced perspective to manipulate the human eye into forming 3D objects from 2D surfaces, allowing the viewer to become fully immersed in his paintings for a brief moment. Lim's bold use of form is perfectly suited to Proteus, which is itself a form that forces a re-evaluation of archetypal templates and encourages immersive interaction.
Set on a mid-sized Carver Proteus shape, the Tommii model offers plenty of front foot area so you can really spread your feet out to achieve a good surfboard stance.
Carver CX Trucks:
The CX trucks are Carver's hybrid of a surf and skate truck. On the one hand they have a lightweight standard RKP (Reverse King Pin) hanger and base, on the other hand a patented geometry that gets every bit of turn and pump out of the system.
Thanks to the patented design, the CX pumps like a C7, but lands airs and fakie with more stability in comparison. This not only enables airs but also adapts to the latest development of airs in surfing.
The CX also have more pump and a tighter turning radius than any other reverse kingpin truck on the market, but with no other parts. They have a similar feel to the C7, but are less extreme. So if you want a more familiar feel to your board, but still want to pump and surf, then the CX is the truck you want on a board like this.
The CX trucks are ideal for progressive airs, reverses and anyone who prefers a snappy turn.
Carver C7 Trucks:
The C7 truck is the signature truck that started it all at Carver. It is still the most responsive and fastest pumping surf truck of all time and is at the pinnacle of true surfskate performance.
The patented second axle of this front truck not only increases the turning radius of your carves, but also allows you to snap the nose and initiate turns from the tail. This dynamic generates thrust and propels you forward with increasing speed.
