Knox Phoenix
Known as a power surfer for his big, powerful turns that cover the entire face of the wave, Taylor Knox still surfs with as much energy as athletes half his age. And he knows a thing or two about longevity. He was a key member of the Momentum Generation in the 1990s and enjoyed one of the longest pro surfing careers in history, competing on the World Tour for 22 years before retiring from competition in 2012. Carver began sponsoring Taylor as a professional athlete in 2009, when he was still on the tour. Now, 14 years later, Taylor is still a living legend, surfing and skating with the kind of power and flow we can all learn from. This model was shaped specifically for him and tuned to his carving style. It has been refined over the years into a polished gem and remains one of the best selling surf skates in the Carver line.
With the wider spooned nose and fat tail, you get full power rail transfer on deep carves and sharp cutbacks, while the concave wheels hold your deepest lines without sliding out.
Carver CX Trucks:
The CX trucks are Carver's hybrid of a surf and skate truck. On the one hand they have a lightweight standard RKP (Reverse King Pin) hanger and base, on the other hand a patented geometry that gets every bit of turn and pump out of the system.
Thanks to the patented design, the CX pumps like a C7, but lands airs and fakies with more stability in comparison. This not only enables airs but also adapts to the latest development of airs in surfing.
The CX also have more pump and a tighter turning radius than any other reverse kingpin truck on the market, but with no other parts. They have a similar feel to the C7, but are less extreme. So if you want a more familiar feel to your board, but still want to pump and surf, then the CX is the truck you want on a board like this.
The CX trucks are ideal for progressive airs, reverses and anyone who prefers a snappy turn.
Carver C7 Trucks:
The C7 truck is the signature truck that started it all at Carver. It is still the most responsive and fastest pumping surf truck of all time and is at the pinnacle of true surfskate performance.
The patented second axle of this front truck not only increases the turning radius of your carves, but also allows you to snap the nose and initiate turns from the tail. This dynamic generates thrust and propels you forward with increasing speed.
