GRLSWIRL's mission is to empower people through skating.

What started as a small group of founding women has grown into a global force with hundreds of thousands of online members and chapters in NYC and San Diego, with more to come. The team comes from all walks of life and wants to show that you don't have to be a certain type of person to get on a skateboard. They firmly believe that through their individual stories and community support, they can inspire people to overcome their fears and insecurities by simply getting on a board.
