Jamie O'Brien's idea of fun would be terrifying to most of us, but growing up in front of the Pipeline must have conditioned him from a young age, because he happily takes on the most challenging conditions imaginable. His surfing skills have earned him an impressive collection of titles and recognition as an elite pro, but it's his fun-loving antics that have endeared him to fans around the world. His enthusiasm for alternative surf craft is legendary. He's an innovator of fun on everything from soft tops to inflatable boats. And in his garage, handily placed next to the door, is his carver. As with everything Jamie does, joining the Carver team came from an authentic connection to the boards and how they ride. It's an alliance that shares a mission to spread the stoke, go big and have fun. His pro model boards, like his personality, are full of color and energy and focused on performance.
Carver wanted to build a bigger board for Jamie that could handle the challenges of his wild rides. The Camo has a full nose kick for that locked-in feel and a wider stance for fast carving and transition riding.
Carver CX Trucks:
The CX Trucks are Carver's hybrid of a surf and skate truck. On the one hand they have a lightweight standard RKP (Reverse King Pin) hanger and base, on the other hand a patented geometry that gets every bit of turn and pump out of the system.
Thanks to the patented design, the CX pumps like a C7, but lands airs and fakies with more stability in comparison. This not only enables airs but also adapts to the latest development of airs in surfing.
The CX also have more pump and a tighter turning radius than any other reverse kingpin truck on the market, but with no other parts. They have a similar feel to the C7, but are less extreme. So if you want a more familiar feel to your board, but still want to pump and surf, then the CX is the truck you want on a board like this.
The CX trucks are ideal for progressive airs, reverses and anyone who prefers a snappy turn.
Carver C7 Trucks:
The C7 truck is the signature truck that started it all at Carver. It is still the most responsive and fastest pumping surf truck of all time and is at the pinnacle of true surfskate performance.
The patented second axle of this front truck not only increases the turning radius of your carves, but also allows you to snap the nose and initiate turns from the tail. This dynamic generates thrust and propels you forward with increasing speed. Ein wirklich tolles Brett mit sehr guter Qualität. Mir gefällt, dass es etwas länger ist und so Stabilität auch beim Pumptrack gibt. Trotzdem geht auch Skatepark mit snaps und der Drop-ins. Die cx Achsen geben gleichermaßen Vortrieb beim Fahren von Strecke und Wendigkeit im Park. Kann man einfach nichts falsch machen, würde dieses Surfskate jederzeit wieder kaufen.
