The Explore is absolutely powerful for its size, delivering consistent pull across the entire wind window. It depowers immediately and without rearing up in the middle of the wind window. It generates minimal lift, which makes it very user-friendly, especially for beginners. It is very comfortable to fly due to its relatively low airspeed and the single skin construction makes it highly resistant to crash damage.

The Ozone Explore V2 has a higher aspect ratio and an optimized profile which drastically improves the upwind characteristics. The jumping characteristics have also been improved. The reduced drag of the V2 increased the top end and wind range and the Explore remains controllable even when fully trimmed (depowered) with excellent feedback at the bar. These characteristics make the Explore an amazingly good kite for beginners and advanced riders. With its confidence-inspiring feedback, it literally invites you to take your snowkiting skills to the next level.

For experts, the Explore offers a completely new kite feeling and opens up completely new possibilities for moving around the terrain and pushing boundaries. Depending on your skills, it offers very versatile handling - tight and dynamic or slow and sluggish loops - both essential for navigating through difficult terrain.

The new closed cells in the tip area reduce tip flutter when looping the kite. This makes the kite quieter and smoother to fly. If you are riding down a slope with the kite up or at the edge of the wind window, you can concentrate much better on riding than worrying about the kite.

For experts on backcountry missions or touring expeditions, the lightweight construction means that the kite can also be flown in very light winds. This means you can work well even in light winds and don't have to worry about keeping the kite in the air. The single skin design is also ultra-compact so you can easily take several kites with you.

When it's time to take a break or pack up at the end of a session, you'll find that the Explore is super easy to land as it is equipped with Ozone's market-leading Re-Ride release system. This effective and easy to use self-landing system means that you can land the kite quickly and easily whenever required and the kite will be left in an open state, ready for the next launch.

The Explore V2 is available in a version where the materials are adapted to the area in which the kite is used. Ultra Light 20D sail material on the 8m, 10m and 12m. A somewhat more robust but still lightweight 30D is used for the 4m and 6m sizes - kites that tend to be flown in strong winds.

The bridle lines are made from an optimized mix of spliced and unspliced lines. Ultralight and unspliced lines are used close to the kite to reduce drag and improve performance, while spliced lines in the lower section close to the speed system are more resistant to twisting and snagging on hard snow.

REVOLUTIONARY INTERNAL RE-RIDE RELEASE SYSTEM

Ozone's unique internal re-ride release system is the market leading release and landing system in snowkiting. It has made climbing mountains and packing up so much easier, more enjoyable, safer and faster for the user. As soon as it is activated, the kite de-powers immediately and without getting caught and lands without pressure. Once the kite is down, it is waiting for you on the ground and the next relaunch when you are ready.

Another big advantage of the internal re-ride release system is the landing and safety option. To land the kite, all you have to do is pull the fifth line through the chicken loop up to the safety loop, which is located approx. 2 m above the control bar. The kite will stall and fall to the ground without pressure. The kite can now be held on the ground with the safety loop on the fifth line - you can either attach the loop to a carabiner on the ground, to your harness or to one of your bar ends. This makes it easy and safe to land and pack up your kite, even in strong winds. The brake line, which is stretched between the two leading lines of the steering lines, makes it easier to reverse launch and land in light winds.

Der Hersteller Ozone legt Wert darauf, dass keine Überproduktion den Markt kaputt macht und so der Preis Deines Kites auch für den späteren Wiederverkauf möglichst stabil bleibt. Die Produktion ist daher immer sehr eng an die aktuelle Nachfrage angelehnt. Seltene Modelle, wir die Hochleister R1 werden ausschließlich im Kundenauftrag produziert. Die Lieferzeit für Ozone Kites, die nicht in Deutschland (bei uns oder Ozone) auf Lager sind, liegt unter normalen Bedingungen bei rund 4-5 Wochen. Unter den aktuellen Corona-Bedingungen kann die Lieferzeit auch 8 Wochen betragen. Bitte bestelle also rechtzeitig!
