The Carve is a powerful, responsive and controllable kite that is ideal for carving a wave face, tucking into a barrel or accelerating strapless tricks.

It has been developed with a stable, low aspect ratio design for fast pivot turns and excellent drift, giving an extremely direct feel with both bar pressure and steering input.

Intuitive steering - especially when the kite is not visible during a big bottom turn, cut back or in a barrel - means you can concentrate 100% on the surf. The Carve has a longer, progressive travel, so it feels smooth and responsive throughout the depower range and is reactive all the way to the end on rebounds. For 2024 it feels lighter, more responsive and agile. North has redesigned the entire kite from top to bottom to allow for better drift and more responsive control with fingertip sensitivity. It features a reduced aspect ratio, new panel layout, refined leading edge and profile for more responsive control and lower bar pressure, more stable, efficient drifting and less pull on the wave face. The improved overall balance with more sweep in the tips improves drift so it glides down the line when surfing and waits for your bar input. The wingtips are lighter and North has introduced a smoother curve and more shape bevel to the back so the balance is more in the center of the profile. A smaller LE diameter reduces drag, while an additional sweep allows for effortless roll relaunch. The Carve is now much smoother, more stable and more controllable in gusty conditions. It flies fast upwind and experienced riders will benefit from the kite's impressive power and efficiency. Advanced riders will find that it offers a smoother and more user-friendly ride. Freeride and strapless freestylers will love the easily responsive steering, longer handlebar stroke, improved hangtime and catch for rotations and smoother landings.
