Flow bindings

Flow - a new attitude to life with fast entry bindings

Flow bindings are the solution if you don't always want to be the last one in the pow after getting off the lift. Flow bindings can be closed easily with one grip when you start skiing. The new flow bindings can still be adjusted precisely and you can also easily change the pressure at any time via the ratchets, as with any ratchet binding. In the 1990s, founders Neil Pryde revolutionized snowboard binding technology with the introduction of the first speed entry binding. The label offers several high-quality speed entry soft bindings for women, men and children. All models are perfectly designed, ultra-light and extremely stable. By its own account, Flow is the world's second largest manufacturer of snowboard bindings. Flow bindings have a foot strap attached to a flexible shaft, which is called a highback. Entry is from the back and by folding up the highback. By entering from the back, strapping in is possible even in very steep terrain.  Fine adjustments to the powerstrap and highback submission angles can be made without tools. However, Flow has patented some core elements, such as  the Power Triangle or the Powerstrap, and is currently the only brand to offer a full range of different model bindings.

THE BINDINGS - EASY BUCKLING THANKS TO ACTIVE STRAP TECHNOLOGY

A Flow binding consists of two main parts.

Instead of a 2-buckle binding, which has straps to attach the boot to the board, one from Flow has only a single foot buckle, called a power strap. The peculiarity of this is that the connections between two foot straps form a larger one. This Flow Powerstrap provides a firmer hold than conventional bindings and also provides a more comfortable, powerful riding experience. The riding experience is definitely raised to a new level with such a fixation.

The new Active Strap technology makes buckling up a breeze. When the spoiler is folded up, a strap design lifts your foot slightly. This eliminates friction forces. More space is created and you can get in and out more easily. When the binding is closed, the patented Power System provides a seamless transfer of power from the foot to the board. Flow bindings have several advantages over other bindings:  Once properly adjusted, they are always properly adjusted.

The bindings can be perfectly adjusted to your needs.  Getting into a binding has never been easier. It puts you one step ahead of the competition.

Advantages of Flow Bindings:

  • Easy entry into the binding for beginners
  • Entry from the back allows strapping in steep terrain
  • Even absorption of pressure from the powerstrap by and large avoids point pressure on the instep, causing potential pressure points and cold feet
  • More board feel and control thanks to the Power Triangle. This steel cable leads from the highback to the base plate of the binding. In this way, the force of the foot is optimally transferred to the binding and then to your board.
  • The Powerstrap gives you more control on the frontside, the power is felt much earlier on the boat.
  • Many models have so-called mini-ratchet buckles, which makes adjusting the end of the strap to the rails no problem.

Strap Activation

When you open the Hiback, the PowerStrap moves to the side, making getting in and out of your bindings even easier and more comfortable. In the same way, every time you close the Hiback, the PowerStrap footstrap hugs your boot, always with the same perfect pressure you once set.

When snowboarding, it's not only important to have the board that fits your riding style or a well-fitting boot that keeps you warm and feels good while riding, but also to choose the perfect binding to go with it.
