Riding fun in small waves meets determined freestyle
The compact Badger closes the gap between the 720 and the Ripper. With plenty of volume in the nose and a fishtail, the Badger has been specially developed for surfing in small (wind) swells. The compact shape also promises extremely high freestyle suitability
The completely new construction of an XPS core and glass-soric sandwich is impregnated using infusion - this is unique and guarantees excellent board strength.
Shape
Fish-Outline
The fishtail reduces the tail area and extends the rails. As a result, a fish can be "forced" extremely well into small, snappy turns. The long rails with the small radius also ensure that wider radii can be ridden with a lot of grip and high speed.
Hybrid underbody
The spine in the nose ensures extremely smooth running, soft landings and minimizes the risk of chop. The transition into the double concave then ensures that the rocker in the center section is kept low, while the rails have a higher rocker. This enables tighter turns than with classic fish shapes. The vee in the tail gives the Badger a lot of control and a smooth transition from rail to rail.
Flat rocker
The Badger has a flat rocker for particularly early planing. It also allows the board to edge in a particularly controlled manner in the bottom turn and guarantees maximum control when jumping off.
Grab rails
Subtle grab rails in the middle section of the board optimize the freestyle suitability of the board. They provide the necessary grip and optimum control for grabs.
Construction
Designed in Germany, handmade in Portugal.
Developed on Fehmarn and produced by experienced shapers in Portugal to guarantee one hundred percent precision and the specific glassboard performance that customers expect from a CORE surfboard.
Ultra-robust construction
The Badger differs from other surfboards in its construction. The waterproof XPS core has an extremely high compressive strength. It is encased in fiberglass and a Soric layer in the deck, which makes the core even more durable and virtually impossible to dent.
Unique production process
As with the Imperator, the laminate is impregnated by infusion. This is unique and guarantees excellent board strength. It also allows the board to be built much thinner, as the stiffness is higher than with classic surfboard constructions.
Carbon Tailpatch
The carbon-reinforced tail provides effective protection against dents and breakages. Thanks to the partial use, the board not only retains a high flex in the tail, but also its particularly low weight.
Thruster Fin Setup
To realize a loose character, pronounced turning pleasure and an easy takeoff over rolling kickers, the Badger is equipped with a classic thruster setup.
Original FCS || Fin System
The FCS-|| system allows the fins to be changed in a matter of seconds - without the need for tools. Of course, older generations of FCS fins can also be fitted with a grub screw.
Level One Verified Eco-Board
Producing high-performance products more sustainably is a major concern for CORE. To reduce the carbon footprint of the Badger, materials made from recycled plastic bottles and organic resins are used.
Scope of delivery:
The Badger comes with a tail traction pad, leash plug and FCS-||-fin boxes. the board has no inserts for mounting straps!
