VORTEILE VON FLOW BINDUNGEN

Viele Snowboarder, die gerne schnell und heftig unterwegs sind, haben Vorbehalte gegen die Flowbindungen. Hartnäckig hält sich das Gerücht, dass man Flow Bindungen nicht in dem gleichen Maße fest eingestellt bekommt, wie herkömmliche Ratschenbindungen.

Dies hat für die allerersten Flowbindungen auch tatsächlich so gestimmt, denn eine einmal eingestellte Bindung konnte während der Fahrt nicht über eine Ratsche nachgezogen werden. Inzwischen verfügen aber auch alle Flow-Bindungen über die Ratschen an den Zehen und am Spann, so dass man eine Flow Bindung ganz genau so gut nachjustieren kann, wie jede andere Bindung auch.

Flowbindungen sind die erste Wahl, wenn man vermeiden will, nach jeder Liftfahrt erst einmal im Schnee zu sitzen, während die Skifahrerkumpels schon den Pow zerfahren.

Wir empfehlen die Flowbindungen ganz besonders auch für Snowkiter, die in der Regel nicht so einfach beide Hände frei haben, um vor dem Start die Ratschen einzufädeln. Bei den Flow Bindungen genügt ein beherzter schneller Griff an den Hebel am Hacken und Du bist startklar.

NACHTEILE VON FLOWBINDUNGEN

Auf eine Flowbindung verzichten solltest Du, wenn Du sehr häufig an ganz extremen Steilhängen startest. Der Winkel der Piste verhindert dann nämlich, dass Du den Hebel am Hacken schließen kannst. Du musst Dich mit einer Flow-Bindungen in solchen Situationen auf den Bauch legen und ziemlich verrenken.
