This set of lights is an upgrade in almost every way compared to the SL-200. The LED is much brighter and reaches 40 lumens. Combine this with the wide-focus optics and you have a light that can be seen even during the day from over 2 km away.
The surface area of the lens has been maximized to take full advantage of the brighter LEDs. This improves visibility from the side and makes it easy to see if your lights are still on and which mode they are in.
The S-Lock mechanism has been reinforced with a third contact point on the back of the light. This additional stability ensures that you can really feel the light click into place.
The SL-R1 lights are charged via USB-C. This way you can travel with fewer cables.
Every time you switch off the light, the lens lights up to indicate the current battery level. So you always know when you need to charge the light.
