ASPECT RATIO AND SWEEP
POWER, SPEED AND MANEUVERABILITY
The XC has a medium to high aspect ratio, which provides the wing with the necessary power and performance. Thanks to the medium to high sweep of the front tube, the XC achieves a high top speed and is extremely agile. This finely tuned combination provides the golden mean of power, speed and manoeuvrability, making it a perfect match for the Spectrum Foils.
LIGHTWEIGHT HANDLES
EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL
It's much more than a matter of opinion. Fixed handle bars provide a much more direct and precise steering feel than soft handles and also conserve your strength. The extra-long design enables a relaxed and balanced position on all courses. The EVA grip surface with optimized profile embossing guarantees a non-slip grip on the XC.
WING TWIST
ADEPT TWISTING
The two wing tips of the XC have a higher angle of attack than the center strut, which results in a twist in the wing profile. As a result, the XC achieves the ideal balance of power and agility. The primary propulsion is generated in the mid-strut area, while the set tips stabilize the wing and ensure clean turning behaviour in all manoeuvres. When pumping, they ensure that the pressurized air can effectively flow to the rear and thus generate additional propulsion.
CORETEX® 2
STABILITY AND TENSION
A key factor in the performance of the XC is that the stretch in the profile has been reduced to a minimum, particularly at peak loads. In the various canopy segments, the CoreTex 2 was sewn in the optimum running direction. As a result, the least stretch occurs in the primary direction of pull, allowing the highest performance to be achieved. With its extremely high tear resistance and very good UV protection, CoreTex 2 is also extremely durable.
EXOTEX® 2
ROBUST AND RIGID FABRIC STRUCTURE
The special ExoTex 2 Dacron is robust and low-stretch. Even when exposed to extreme forces, the fibers are effectively prevented from stretching in all directions. A complex tempering and coating process gives ExoTex 2 an extremely high tensile strength. In flight, the stiff strut structure is noticeable through direct power transmission.
DOUBLE SPEED VALVE
FAST DEFLATION AND VARIABLE AIR PRESSURE
Wings require a lot of air for their stability, which needs to escape quickly after the session. That's why the XC has two valves that significantly speed up deflation. Wings larger than 5 square meters have larger diameters in the leading edge to ensure sufficient stability for the large wingspan. Separate inflation of the thinner central chord ensures that the ideal pressure is present in both chambers. Of course, each XC can also be inflated at any time using just one valve thanks to its one-pump connection.
WAIST- AND HANDLEASH
COMFORT OR FREEDOM?
Tastes differ - that's why we give you the choice. You can choose between a waist or hand leash for your CORE XC Wing. The hand leash prevents tangling with a board leash, while the hip leash gives you maximum freedom for your hands during all maneuvers or paddle inserts. Both leashes have a non-slip and highly elastic webbing. The connection to the wing is made via a loop, which makes misconnections virtually impossible. The swivel in front of the loop ensures that your leash is still properly turned out even after several rotations.
