The Flying V 200 is Armstrong's idea of what a radical rear wing should be! Inspired by team riders, Skyrama's own research and development, Armie has taken it even further by incorporating some Americas Cup design secrets to create the state of the art Flying V....
Together with their radical test rider Beven Gooch, Armie has refined this design into a futuristic shape reminiscent of a heavy metal guitar! It's fast, loose and very easy to carve, so you can take the lead on any wave! The Flying V extends the speed potential of every Armstrong Front Foil Wing and is therefore ideal for faster waves and headbanging wingers!
The Flying V was developed for the new A+System fuselage. We have streamlined, strengthened and simplified the connection of the rear wing by connecting it directly to the A+System TC fuselage and integrating the current TTF shape directly into the fuselage. For most riders, this means a simple direct connection of the rear wing without shims. For more experienced pilots, our new Polycarbonate Pro Shims can easily be added to customize the rig to your exact needs and flying feel as you progress.
The Flying V is also compatible with the original TC fuselage when using a TTF.
Construction
The rear wing has a foam core wrapped in high quality carbon, making it lightweight and super stiff. The titanium screw inserts are in line with our philosophy of corrosion free materials throughout the range. The unique flow fences improve stability by minimizing the disturbance of turbulent flow through the front wing, mast and fuselage.
