The San Onofre 36" sits between the Classic and Power Surfing series
A mid-length shape inspired by surfboards, designed to give you a feel as similar as possible to these boards. Long and wide lines... Speed, flow and control.
Try different foot positions and stances to change the feel. A short stance between ¼ and ¾ of the deck gives you a smooth feeling that is more similar to surfing on a mid-length board. At the same time, and due to the long wheelbase, you can achieve a similar feel to a shortboard with a wider stance.
The San Onofre features a medium concave and kicktail that keeps your feet in place and helps you navigate with ease, but also allows you to adjust your position on the board if needed. The long wheelbase of 20.75" can widen the stance if you are tall and/or want to practice surfing on land, and provides a classic surf feel if you skate on a shorter stance. Mounted on the Meraki system (S5) and 66x51mm 78A Ura wheels to keep your board on course and stable on most surfaces.
All YOW decks are made from 7-ply Hard Rock Maple, responsibly sourced from areas under forest conservation laws to protect, preserve and regenerate nature's biodiversity, and pressed with a water-based glue. All trucks are molded in the Basque Country and comply with the REACH regulation to ensure the protection of human health and the environment. The wheels are manufactured in our own workshop using a super high rebound formula with high quality urethane.
