WE LOVE SURFING

EFFECTIVE SUN PROTECTION FOR SURFERS AND OUTDOOR ATHLETES

We are a group of passionate surfers and snowboarders. During a surf trip to the Australian west coast in 2009, we realized that there was no sunscreen that could withstand the extreme conditions in the water and reliably protect our skin against aging and damage SWOX. The idea was born to develop a sunscreen tailored to the needs of ambitious athletes, especially for surfing, snowboarding and all other outdoor activities. The best ideas are often born from a personal passion. This was also the case for Max, Tim Peltz and Ralph Kenke when they launched SWOX while surfing in Australia over seven years ago. They wanted a sunscreen that would reliably protect their skin against the sun during their favorite pastime - and do without substances that are harmful to the environment and health.

SWOX became a sunscreen brand with high-quality lotions and maximum-protection zinc creams for demanding athletes who spend a lot of time in the line up or in the mountains.

But SWOX is not resting on its success: CEO Maximilian Jagsch and CFO Laurence Gaubert-Quednau are establishing SWOX in the market and ensuring long-term growth.

To ensure that ingredients, sun filters and formulations are always at the cutting edge of research, SWOX has brought Swiss sun protection expert Uli Osterwalder on board.

Could there be a greater compliment for SWOX than that the world's best surfers love our products? Hardly. We are proud of our athletes, such as South African world-class surfer Jordy Smith. Jordy supports SWOX in the development of the sun protection products with his valuable experience as an outstanding professional surfer.

The new SWOX products have everything a surfer needs and leave out everything unnecessary: no fragrances, no parabens, no burning in the eyes and no unpleasant greasy film. Instead, easy to apply, quickly absorbed and still extra waterproof.

HIGH UV PROTECTION: Our sunscreens combine physical sunblocks like zinc and titanium with highly effective UVA and UVB filters to reliably protect the skin from sun damage. We work without Qxybenzone or Octinoxate. Hawaii friendly product.

EXTRA WATERPROOF: All our products have a formulation that reliably guarantees maximum and long-lasting protection in the water. Tested by the best surfers in the world in the toughest conditions.

HYPOALLERGENIC INGREDIENTS: SWOX creams have everything athletes need and leave out the unnecessary: no fragrances, no parabens, no burning in the eyes and no unpleasant greasy film. Dermatologically tested. 

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PACKAGING

SWOX tubes are made of plastic derived in part from the renewable resource of sugar cane, instead of the usual fossil fuels. The use of ethanol from sugar cane grown organically in Brazil not only reduces CO2 emissions during tube production, but actually absorbs CO2, thus reducing the greenhouse effect.
