Guided SUP tours on the river Oker

The tour Wolfenbüttel - Braunschweig takes about three hours and we provide tasty food on the way.

For beginners there is a short briefing at the beginning, previous experience is not required. For the tour from Braunschweig to Wolfenbüttel we recommend a minimum age of 13 years. If you weigh 110 kg or more, please let us know in advance so that we can provide you with an appropriate SUP. You can book the tour easily here in the store. Please book in time, the places for each tour are limited.###

SUP Tours in Wolfenbüttel and Braunschweig

For the participants of our SUP tours we recommend the participation in our Beginner and intermediate training courses where among other things advanced paddling and turning techniques are trained. During the tours we also give a short introduction, so that everyone can participate without any previous experience.

The exciting tour Braunschweig - Wolfenbüttel is recommended for paddlers who enjoy a longer tour. Normal fitness and endurance are sufficient, as we will have a long break.

The price of  47,50 € includes equipment rental, food and transport of the equipment to the Oker in Wolfenbüttel and back from Braunschweig. The transport of the participants back from Braunschweig beir the Wolfenbüttel - Braunschweig tour is not included, but can be easily realized by public transport. 

Information about our tour Wolfenbüttel -> Braunschweig

We always start on Saturdays, at 14:00 at the new SUP jetty at the Meesche Stadium in Wolfenbüttel (meeting for setup at 13:30). There the SUPs will be made ready and there you can change your clothes. There is a parking lot there.

The tour on the river Oker leads you through picturesque nature to Leiferde. On the route you can expect winding waterways, easy current passages and a short slide. At the bridge in Leiferde we will take an extensive break with the SUP group and consume the food we brought along. Afterwards we continue with a little less support through the current of the river Oker via Stöckheim, past the Südsee and the castle Richmond and through the Bürgerpark Braunschweig to the Kennelbad, where you can strengthen yourself at the mini golf course or finish the great SUP tour in the beach club Okercabana.

At the Kennelbad we take care of the stowage and the return transport of the boards. For your way back you take care of yourself. Either you have parked a car at the Kennelbad or at the Schützenplatz or you can take the bus line 420 from Wolfenbütteler Straße back to Wolfenbüttel in 15 minutes.

Registration:

A binding registration via a booking here in the online store is a prerequisite for participation. The number of participants is limited to ten per tour and can only take place with a minimum of four participants. If a tour is cancelled due to a lack of participants, you will have the opportunity to join the next Okertour. You are automatically registered for the following tour!

Route:

• The total length of the tour Wolfenbüttel - Braunschweig is about 10 km. With breaks the distance is to be mastered pleasantly in 4 hours. Normal fitness is sufficient.

Equipment:

In summer, quick-drying pants and shirt are ideal. Those who freeze easily can also put on a neoprene shorts. We recommend neoprene shoes, but barefoot is also possible. We provide life jackets and waterproof pack sacks. Shoes for water sports, special thin neoprene clothing and lycras for SUP are available in our store (Am Rehmanger 9 - 38304 Wolfenbüttel).

Sun protection on your head might be useful on hot days. At home you should leave everything that can get broken or lost in the water.
