N-Weave reduces structural deflection and transfers wind energy into more forward speed, explosive boost and hangtime for freestyle tricks. The development of this new material technology has allowed us to create a stiffer, lighter and more durable wing without geometric compromise (and without the high performance price tag). The Mode Wing has a fast, VMG-optimized design that allows you to sail closer to the wind, at higher upwind angles, and reduce your need to tack or gybe to get to the mark as quickly as possible.
North designed the Mode Wing primarily for high-speed performance, but the stiffer airframe also provides unprecedented loft for higher jumps and forward drive on landings. With their incredible high-end stability, the 4.2 and 5.5m are ideal for use in stronger winds, while the 7m is optimized for more performance in lighter air. The wing has a balanced lower aspect ratio with rounded wingtips to reduce tip flare, and the new panel layout provides stability at the wingtips and increased tension under load. The rigid GripLock Micro-Trim control handles provide immediate response and the new positioning of the race window helps you keep a close eye on your opponents.
