WHEEL WELL FLARES

The Tesseract has flared wheel wells, which allows for greater wheel clearance and also creates a transition between decks that provides lateral and longitudinal support for your feet - both inside the trucks and on the kicktails. This also promotes awareness of the board's behavior and keeps your feet firmly on the board during slides, chugging or cornering.

 

 

W CONCAVE

Loaded has designed the Tesseract with an intuitive W Concave to improve rider control in all toeside maneuvers. The central hump is large but also wide, so you have strong lateral support near the transitions without sacrificing the comfort of the camber. The W-concave on the Tesseract follows a gentle elliptical profile and becomes progressively weaker towards the trucks, disappearing completely about 2 cm behind the innermost mounting holes. This design allows the inside edges of the feet to nestle against the W-concave (for toesideslides), but also allows the outside of the feet to sit in a more radial camber behind the flared wheel wells (for greater comfort when tucking on long downhill runs). Stepless but also gentle concave grooves offer optimum edge control without sacrificing comfort.

SYMMETRICAL SHAPE

The outline shape of the Tesseract is designed for maximum functionality and versatility. A slight taper towards the kicktails makes the deck widest in the center (allowing for rear foot influence during short tuckings), but gentle enough so that the deck width is wide enough at the neck, over the screws, and at the tail, allowing for plenty of influence and control in all possible positions. A fully symmetrical shape and contours ensure that the Tesseract is ready for whatever comes its way - in any position or orientation.

 

KICKTAILS

Designed to meet the needs of both a freerider and a freestyler, the Tesseract is equipped with custom kicktails. The width was chosen to allow for unique toe and heel edge control, and the length and upturned tips create powerful pop and accommodate the full width of the foot. The finely cambered concave keeps the boots on the board and helps with tricks like manuals or pivots. The contours of the kicktails overhang the outer surfaces of the flared wheel wells to create a firm hold for your feet both above and outside the mounting screws, which in turn leads to more control during manuals and 360 slides.

 

VARIABLE CENTER DISTANCE (WHEELBASE)

The Tesseract offers both a 24.5-inch and 26-inch wheelbase option, allowing you to fine-tune your setup based on your riding style and specific truck geometry. You can set the axles inwards for faster pops, increased agility, higher grip and lower swing weight - set them outwards for more stability and more lean.
