The Sonar 1500R is a true crossover wing with real performance in every foiling discipline. It is so stable that you will feel like you are standing on the ground. The 1500R is great for prone-foil surfing in medium to big waves, has a smooth carvy feel and fits nicely in your pocket. Its predictable lift gives you time to find a comfortable stance without having to fight to keep the nose down when accelerating the foil. This allows you to stay in the same position over the entire speed range.

The balance of the foil system means you can place your back foot further behind the mast, allowing you to ride the board more like a shortboard. North's new, special design of reflexed camber foil gives the wing pitch stability and prevents the board's tendency to lift up a lot on the first take-off. This means you no longer have to change your position to trim the board when going faster or diving in on a wave. The Sonar Reflexfwing have a relatively large surface area, which makes them very controllable, with incredible roll and pitch stability. Normally, a large wing means more drag and therefore less speed. However, because you can position the Reflexwing with a lower angle of attack on the fuselage, they feel smaller than they are in terms of their speed range and responsiveness. A Reflexwing gives you impressive control over the entire speed range, with extreme top speeds that are unimaginable for a wing of this size.
