Curfboards

The founder of Curfboards, Stephan Augustin, started skating at the end of the 80s. He was immediately passionate about it and after standing on a surfboard for the first time in Bali and realizing his enthusiasm for snowboarding, his dream was born. He began to construct his own boards, which were still quite simple and only used a leather strap as a binding.

When he moved to Berlin at the beginning of the 90s to start his studies in industrial design, he quickly missed the mountains for snowboarding and surfing by the sea.

Without further ado, he decided to combine everything: surfing, skating and snowboarding. He designed, planned and developed until it became clear that he needed something for his project that the world had never seen before: an axle with intelligent kinematics. After several prototypes and various concepts, he met BMW chassis engineer Rudi Müller. Together they wanted to construct something that did not yet exist and that would make their dreams come true. They developed the BMW Street Carver, which revolutionized the sport.

A few years passed and there was no major further development. However, when his son found his father's old prototype in 2015, Stephan's passion for his project was renewed. Together, they tested and developed a new design for a year until they were thrilled with their product in September 2016. Many more months passed with campaigns, funding opportunities and more.

On October 1, 2017, it arrived: the first finished delivery of the Curfboards - surf skates from Germany.

Curfboards have since become an integral part of the surfskate scene. Thanks to the unique axle, you can experience a real surf feeling with the board right in your own home. Train your skills, improve your control and spice up your everyday life!

intelligent kinematic trucks

The patented Curfboard trucks work completely without springs and bushings, so the most vulnerable parts of conventional trucks are no longer necessary. This means you don't have to adjust the axle or replace the components. They also offer more stability at higher speeds and the low height of the trucks gives you that real surfing feeling.
