Landyachtz: In a class of its own

The founding story of Landyachtz almost reads like a teen movie. In 1997, old school friends Michael Perreten and Thomas Edstrand met up again at the University of Victoria in Canada. They had not seen each other for years, but immediately hit it off again - this was the birth of the Landyachtz brand.

Perreten and Edstrand loved skating. Even as children, they taught each other tricks and chased new speed records on the downhill. So even after years apart, they still had a lot to talk about. You can probably guess what followed. Small talk turned into shop talk, which turned into rum-spinning and finally the two decided to found their own label: Landyachtz

A heart for downhill

Now, almost 20 years later, Landyachtz has firmly established itself in the longboard scene. The name of the label stands for a very special longboard discipline like no other: downhill riding.

The boards from Landyachtz, which were made for the fast-paced races, are incredibly durable and won't let you down - no matter how high your top speed may be.
