Nitro's splitboard binding, the Vertical, was designed and developed together with the most skilled splitboarding minds at Spark R&D. The collaboration combines the simplicity of the Sparks Tesla T1 baseplate design with the durability of the Reinforced Cable Connectors and Ladders and the comfort and reliability of the Nitro Straps and Buckles. The Vertical Splitboard Binding is equipped with the Nitro Recline Highback, First Track Ankle Straps, our Vibram© EcoStep Overgrip Toe Strap and Reinforced Cables in the Ratchet Ladders. Effortless on the ascent, comfortable and supportive on the descent. Untouched powder fields are literally waiting for you!

Highback
The Recline Highback is Nitro's splitboarding-specific highback that allows negative 11° forward lean for unhindered and effortless hiking on the ascent and multiple forward lean settings for the descent.

Baseplate
The Tesla T1 Baseplate is a milled aluminum baseplate with strategic cutouts for minimal weight. The system can be switched from climbing to riding mode in a few simple steps. The Whammy Bar supports you on steep climbs: The climbing wire can be set to 12° and 18°. In ride mode, the EVA padding absorbs shocks and impacts.

Straps
The First Track® Ankle Straps with Flex Window are Nitro's brand new padded, lightweight and durable straps with RailGuard nylon construction. Lighter weight without sacrificing performance and comfort! The Overgrip Toe Strap with Vibram© EcoStep™ rubber was developed together with VIBRAM®. The strap conforms to the shape of each shoe's toe box, while the rubber keeps the strap in place no matter how hard you stomp on landing.
